Vegetarian!

Ingredients
2 large Sweet onions
1 cup Flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Seasoned salt
3/4 teaspoon Baking powder
1 cup Cold water
2 Eggs (lightly beaten)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Dip of choice such as:
Ketchup
Mustard
BBQ Sauce
Hot sauce
And/or any other dip you prefer

Step by Step Instructions
  1. Cut off the top of each onion and peel away the skin. Cut the onions into 1/4-inch slices. Separate the individual onion rings from each slice, discard the centers, and set the rings aside.
  2. Mix the flour, salt, and baking powder together in a bowl, then add the water & beaten eggs. Mix them together until a smooth batter is formed.
  3. Heat 2 inches of oil in a large skillet to 375 degrees. Dip the onion slices into the batter, then carefully add the rings to the oil filled pan. Work in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
  4. Cook the onion rings for 2 to 4 minutes on each side. Using tongs, set the rings onto a paper towel lined plate. Repeat until all have been cooked, then serve hot with dip of choice.
